About this role
Supply Chain Auditor
We usually respond within two weeks
A typical day as a Supply Chain Auditor
No two days look exactly the same here, and that’s part of what makes it work.
As a Supply Chain Auditor, you’ll play a key part in keeping things moving for our customers, suppliers and The Pros around you. You’ll take ownership, solve problems properly, and work with people across the business to make things simpler, faster and better.
You’ll be trusted to get stuck in, make decisions, and see things through.
What you’ll be doing
As Supply Chain Auditor, you'll safeguard the integrity of our supply chain. As an asset-free marketplace business, our success depends on the quality and compliance of our supplier network, and you'll be responsible for conducting thorough audits to ensure our suppliers meet all regulatory requirements and uphold our exacting standards.
You'll be out on the road seeing suppliers 2–3 days a week, with a company car provided, and will occasionally join the team for meetings at our Manchester head office, travel costs covered.
Key responsibilities
-
Conduct comprehensive on-site audits of suppliers across our network, assessing compliance with all applicable health and safety, environmental, social and governance regulations and legislation
-
Evaluate supplier performance against our internal standards and policies, identifying areas of non-compliance and potential risk to the business
-
Monitor supplier corrective action plans and conduct follow-up audits to verify implementation of required improvements
-
Produce detailed audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments and actionable recommendations for supplier improvement
-
Liaise with internal stakeholders to communicate audit findings and support strategic decision-making around supplier relationships
-
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all audit activities in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements
-
Work collaboratively with suppliers to support them in achieving and maintaining compliance, providing guidance on best practice, regulatory requirements and ProService standards
-
Stay current with evolving legislation, best practice and industry standards to ensure our audit framework remains robust and relevant
-
What you’ll bring
-
We’re looking for someone who knows how to get things done and works well with others to make it happen.
You don’t need to tick every single box, but you’ll likely bring:
-
Proven experience in auditing, compliance or quality assurance, ideally within supply chain, construction or rental sectors
-
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and applicable ESG-related legislation relevant to UK businesses
-
A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to identify compliance gaps and potential risks
-
Effective communication skills, with the ability to deliver difficult messages professionally while maintaining positive supplier relationships
-
Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule and prioritise multiple audits effectively
-
Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to various audiences
-
Comfortable travelling to supplier locations across the UK, and occasionally to Head Office in Manchester
-
Full UK driving licence
It would be great if you also have:
-
NEBOSH General Certificate and IRCA Lead Audit (9001, 14001, 45001)
-
IEMA membership
-
A Diploma in Health and Safety
Most importantly, you’ll bring the mindset of a Pro:
-
You take ownership
-
You communicate clearly
-
You work collaboratively
-
You look for better ways to do things
-
You see things through properly
-
What you’ll get back
-

-
Healthcare Cashback Plan with money back on things like dentists, opticians and sports massages
-
Flexible and hybrid working
-

-

-
Discounts and cashback through our perks platform
-
Flexible benefits including Holiday Buy
-
