About the Role

Robert Half is seeking a data-driven and analytical Supply Chain Analyst for a contract opportunity with a growing organization in Hamden, Connecticut. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and developing recommendations that improve supply chain performance and efficiency.

The Supply Chain Analyst will support inventory management, forecasting, procurement, and logistics operations by providing actionable insights and reporting to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain, inventory, procurement, and logistics data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with demand planning and forecasting activities
• Evaluate supply chain processes and recommend operational improvements
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, fulfillment, purchasing, and transportation
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations, warehouse, and customer service teams to support business objectives
• Assist with inventory accuracy initiatives and cycle count analysis
• Investigate supply chain discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for management
• Support continuous improvement projects and strategic supply chain initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, Analytics, or a related field preferred

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain analysis, inventory management, logistics, procurement, or operations

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis

• Experience working with ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret large datasets

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools

• Knowledge of inventory control, forecasting, demand planning, and purchasing processes

• Experience with KPI development and supply chain performance reporting

• Familiarity with warehouse and distribution operations

• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives

• Contract assignment with potential for extension based on business needs
