Job title: Supply Chain Analyst - Logistics Spend
About the Role The Spend Logistics Analyst will actively manage the global freight payment and audit process, drive issue resolution with third-party providers, and coordinate with Copeland’s Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) program. The role also owns the development and maintenance of program metrics and the data compilation and spend analytics that enable global visibility and continuous improvement of logistics operations.
What You'll Do
- Spend Visibility Process Execution and Improvement: actively manage and resolve payment queues to ensure approvals are timely; engage with Copeland Global and the third-party payment system to identify and resolve invoice and process-related issues; ensure payment terms are consistently achieved.
- Process Improvement: collaborate with local operations to streamline and improve the accuracy of freight audit and payment processes; identify and implement automation opportunities.
- Accounting and Finance Support: ensure compliance with accounting and legal requirements; support the allocation of global freight expense to the appropriate general ledger codes.
- Analytics and Reporting: develop dashboards and report key metrics; participate in supply chain and logistics strategic meetings; prepare materials for management.
- General Responsibilities: maintain program metrics and drive data-driven decisions across the global logistics function.
What We're Looking For
- Education & Experience: BS Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting or related field; 2 years of professional experience in Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, or Data Analytics.
- Technical Skills: demonstrated Root Cause Analysis ability; high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; high proficiency in data reporting tools such as Power BI or Sigma.
- Communication & Collaboration: excellent interpersonal communication skills; capable of working with global program management teams and local plant personnel; able to interact across all levels of management.
- Teamwork: proven ability to excel in a team environment and facilitate change.
Nice to Have
- At least 1 year of experience with data analytics (SQL, Python, VBA) to support workflow automation.
- Familiarity with transportation and supply chain concepts and systems.
- Experience with Oracle Transportation Management.
