Supplier Relationship Manager

About the Role The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and coaching suppliers to meet Volvo Logistics Requirements and to manage crises with suppliers. The scope is global, covering supply chain activities between the supplier and all involved Volvo plants and distribution centers. What You'll Do

• Proactively improve supplier performance within the Inbound Supply Chain and Delivery Crisis management.
• Establish and participate in internal and supplier networks with Logistics/Supply Chain managers, Plant managers, and Continuous Improvement resources.
• Perform on-site visits and meetings; identify gaps and risks in the Supply Chain (both physical and information flow).
• Gather supplier knowledge using check lists, SWOT analyses, Supply Chain maps / VSM, etc., to understand products, processes, ERP, manufacturing & shipping sites, capacity, second-tier suppliers, and more.
• Conduct Global MMOG/LE audits including gap analysis; evaluate Dispatch Precision (SDP) / service level to all receivers and escalate capacity issues to Purchasing and Crisis Team.
• Lead Crisis Management: coordinate emergency routines during shortages to minimize impact and support supplier solution finding.
• Provide input for SRM scope in BRMs and participate in internal meetings (Regional Crisis and Risk, Regional SRM network, Global SRM network, local meetings with Material Control and Logistics Managers).
• Establish an internal network with Logistics and Purchasing for Crisis management and Continuous Improvement. What We're Looking For
• Ability to work in a global SRM scope and build strong internal and supplier networks.
• Experience developing and coaching suppliers, and managing supplier crises.
• Experience with on-site supplier visits, audits (MMOG/LE), and supply chain mapping (VSM, ERP awareness).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify gaps/risks in physical and information flows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with Purchasing, Crisis Team, and Material Control.
• Willingness to participate in internal meetings and regional/global SRM networks.
