Job title: Supplier Quality Engineer

About the Role Corning is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Beijing to lead supplier development, qualification and quality management activities for materials and suppliers supporting Corning's Display Technologies. The role requires cross-functional collaboration to qualify new materials and vendors, manage trials from samples to mass production, and ensure supplier quality meets plant requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with multiple functions for development and qualification of new materials or new suppliers to meet plants' requirements.
  • Coordinate with multiple functions to qualify and verify new materials or new suppliers on the customer side.
  • Lead suppliers' sample trial runs to deliver plants on time and track quality status.
  • Ensure smooth transition from samples to mass production.
  • Manage suppliers through QA architectures or procurement strategies; coordinate with supplier and multiple functions.
  • Coordinate supplier changes and migration processes; conduct supplier audits and address abnormalities; improve incoming material quality; coordinate migration from changes.
  • Conduct supplier audits and ranking performance reviews; reach quality agreements with suppliers to drive supplier quality management.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: B.S or above in Mechanical, Engineering, Chemical, IE or related major.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of supplier quality management experience or quality management experience.
  • Required Skills: Management & Leadership; knowledge in Statistical Tools, SPC, QC Story and related quality tools; GB certified; good English comprehension (spoken, writing and reading); good communication and coordination for cross-department cooperation.
