BL Ports Global Sales Manager

Join our global team in driving the future of container terminal automation. As part of ABB’s center of excellence with worldwide responsibility for port automation, you will play a central role in a dynamic project environment connecting teams, suppliers, and projects across the globe.

As a part of the Supply Chain Management team, you will ensure that our direct material and service partners meet ABB’s high standards of quality, reliability, and sustainability, while fostering strong supplier relationships that enable successful project execution.

Your responsibilities

• Qualify potential and existing suppliers for direct materials and services, ensuring compliance with ABB General Terms and Conditions, integrity, and sustainability standards.
• Lead end-to-end supplier onboarding, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate necessary supplier evaluations and non-conformance reporting.
• Drive supplier performance evaluations (SPE), leading annual reviews, performance dialogues, and corrective action follow-ups in close collaboration with global support teams.
• Manage supplier lifecycle data and workflows within SAP, SAP Ariba, and Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Secure supplier Material compliance with regulatory and sustainability programs, including reporting of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions (EcoVadis), Substances of Concern In Products (SCIP), and Conflict Minerals declaration (CMRT/3TG).
• Partner with engineering and supply chain teams on supplier qualifications, quality monitoring, and contract parameter maintenance.
• Support operational purchasing in resolving critical supply issues, including quality defects, delivery delays, and service deviations.
• Coach and guide internal stakeholders on supplier quality processes, tools, and governance standards.

Qualifications for the role

• Relevant educational background in engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in supplier quality, procurement, or quality assurance within an industrial or project-driven environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with SAP, SAP Ariba, and Master Data Governance (MDG) and Office365.
• Resilient, decisive, and communicative mindset, with the confidence to uphold standards and work through complex challenges with patience and integrity.
• Self-driven approach with strong organizational skills and the ability to guide and collaborate across global functions.
• Prior knowledge of ABB procurement processes and sustainability frameworks is an advantage.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
