Supplier Quality Development Engineer (SQDE)

About the Role OP Mobility seeks a Supplier Quality Development Engineer (SQDE) to coordinate supplier quality development from prototype to full PPAP for purchased BOM components. The role includes leading APQP and product launch activities, development of quality systems, and ongoing supplier follow-up to help meet project targets in quality, cost and delivery. What You'll Do

• Coordinate supplier quality development from prototype to PPAP for BOM components (non-directed purchases) and monitor through SOP + 6 months.
• Lead APQP/SOPA processes, supplier on-site reviews, and TS16949/IATF16949 evaluations.
• Manage handover of BOM components from Development to Plant production in the Sourcing phase; support VA/VE improvements at suppliers.
• Create PPAP requests in Livesource and link to Sourcing committee decisions; maintain key quality documentation (Deviation lists, APQP plans).
• Introduce and follow up a quality commodity checklist with suppliers; ensure PPAP validation progress and report risks.
• Participate in supplier kick-offs and present APQP/SOPA processes; monitor convergence of PPAP with stakeholders.
• Support internal stakeholders (Program Teams, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commodity Buyers, PSQE); raise SNCRs and action plans; validate components.
• Communicate with suppliers about Plastic Omnium Clean Energy System requests linked to PPAP; ensure suppliers understand norms and CTS documents.
• Conduct process audits, document deviations from PPAP, implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
• Maintain PPAP files, samples, status tracking, and convergence plans; escalate risks to project timing.
• Provide warranty support to plants when needed and participate in monthly scorecard meetings. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Technical or Business.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or Tier I automotive in quality or engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and communication skills; leadership presence; ability to motivate cross-functional teams; comfortable with a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Knowledge of APQP, SOPA, PPAP, IATF 16949 (TS16949) and quality tools; experience with supplier development and process audits.
