Job title: Supplemental Registered Nurse

About the Role Cape Fox subsidiary, Wolf Lake Services, is seeking a Supplemental Registered Nurse to support a federal government client. This non-exempt role requires high nursing proficiency, occupational health experience, and the ability to respond to employees’ immediate health needs while supporting a broad range of health programs. The position is contingent upon award.

What You'll Do

  • Provide comprehensive ambulatory nursing services to promote wellness and address workplace health needs, including acute conditions and chronic illnesses.
  • Respond to immediate health needs by collaborating with the Department’s Medical Officer, colleagues, and Security personnel.
  • Deliver healthcare, administrative, and operational services to employees, leadership, and Building occupants, applying current nursing principles for high-quality care (including thorough patient histories, screenings, and treatment of injuries/illnesses; wellness programs such as immunizations and health counseling).
  • Collaborate with branch team on operational assignments, safety, health, and wellness activities and events.
  • Provide acute care during medical emergencies, delivering critical interventions until safe transport to a medical facility.
  • Oversee the annual flu vaccine campaign, ordering vaccine supplies and coordinating promotional messaging for the clinic.
  • Manage and dispense medications per a pre-approved formulary, ensuring compliance with guidelines, including inventorying and replenishing supplies and medications.
  • Facilitate and track referrals, transfers, and consultations for issues beyond scope of practice or requiring expert intervention.
  • Maintain and protect confidential employee health records, including preparing performance metrics related to visits, injuries, immunizations, and accommodations.
  • Oversee Center operations, conduct physical inspections of equipment and systems, and manage administrative functions for effective service delivery.
  • Promote regulatory and contractual compliance, ensuring customer service expectations are met in all clinical care aspects.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance program by planning for periodic external compliance audits.
  • Manage lactation facilities and scheduling; collaborate with the Medical Officer on review requests for disabled parking permits for this location.
  • Manage and coordinate the building-wide Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program (31 units), including monthly inspections and component replacements.
  • Organize regular AED/CPR training for employees, perform monthly inspections, and replace key components as needed.
  • Provide critical nursing support for high-level events (e.g., annual July 4th celebration) to ensure health and safety of attendees.
  • Educate employees on health topics, including wellness initiatives and medical education programs.
  • Promote health and wellness through lectures, seminars, health/safety fairs, and other safety, health, and wellness outreach initiatives.
  • Empower employees with strategies to maintain or enhance their health status.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program in the United States or Canada.
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience, with ambulatory care experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Ability to meet federal facility suitability, credentialing, and security requirements.
  • Proof of license and certifications.
  • Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Capable of performing duties in a federal facility environment.

Nice to Have

  • Ambulatory care experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting employee health programs and wellness initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total hourly pay: $52.82 per hour for up to 40 hours per week (base rate $47.73 + $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare) as required by SCLS regulations.
