About the Role The Supervisor: Superintendent drives a heavy-duty diesel powered truck with a trailer carrying heavy equipment on construction projects. This role supports safe and efficient hauling operations and works on site as part of Webber, a Ferrovial Construction subsidiary. What You'll Do
- Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate the truck and attached equipment.
- Load or unload heavy equipment from the lowboy trailer as needed.
- Take actions to avoid hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
- May service and make necessary adjustments for proper operation of equipment; perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in English for written and oral communications.
- Ability to recognize and understand road signs.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow the company safety policies and practices as described in the safety manual.
- Education: Less than High School Diploma.
- Experience: three or more years related construction experience preferred.
- Physical Activity: Heavy physical activity; manual dexterity to reach/handle items and work with fingers; ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
- Working Conditions: Outdoor exposure to changing weather; loud work environment; exposure to extreme temperatures; moving mechanical parts.
