About the Role
As a Supervisor/Foreman with Webber, a Ferrovial Construction company, you will lead on-site concrete formwork operations on heavy civil projects, ensuring safe, high-quality execution and timely delivery. You will translate plans into built structures and mentor crew to uphold standards and productivity.
What You'll Do
- Works from plans to build, assemble, fit together, align, plumb, and set in place forms for molding concrete structures.
- Checks forms while concrete is being placed.
- Directs others in stripping forms after concrete is placed.
- May install miscellaneous materials integral to concrete structures.
- May install precast concrete elements.
- Prepares for slipforming traffic rail and median barrier.
- May install permanent metal deck forms.
- May work with power tools.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Follow the company safety manual and procedures as described.
What We're Looking For
- Education: less than High School Diploma.
- Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Experience: Minimum 0-3 years of related construction experience preferred.
- Physical/Working Conditions: Heavy physical activity; outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions; ability to work in loud environments; manual dexterity; ability to reach/handle items; ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials; regular exposure to outside weather, extreme cold and heat, wet/humid conditions, moving parts, and high or precarious places.
