About the Role Rutgers University seeks a Supervisor Environmental Svcs to provide the leadership that oversees the work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions that meet standard of quality. This role supports the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) in maintaining campus facilities.
What You'll Do
- Supervise cleaning staff, assign tasks, and monitor daily operations to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and attractive facilities while ensuring sanitation and compliance with quality standards.
- Train, coach, and evaluate staff; enforce safety policies and procedures; manage performance.
- Coordinate with IP&O leadership and campus partners to uphold facility appearance and operations.
What We're Looking For
- Prior supervisory experience in environmental services, facilities maintenance, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage workloads, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
