Overview: The Conservation Supervisor at GRUMA, S.A.B. de C.V. in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas leads field teams, rangers, and volunteers to ensure the protection and sustainable management of natural resources, including soil, water, forests, and wildlife habitats, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Staff and project management: supervise field crews, rangers, or volunteers; assign daily tasks and manage project timelines.
- Resource conservation: oversee the protection of soil, water, forests, and wildlife habitats.
- Policy and compliance: enforce local, state, or federal environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Administration: assist with annual budgeting, prepare progress reports, and coordinate with government agencies as needed.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in environmental conservation or natural resource management, with prior leadership or supervisory background.
- Education: a high school diploma is often the minimum; an advanced degree in environmental science, forestry, or a related field is frequently preferred.
- Certifications: valid driver’s license, first aid training, and any region-specific permits or water-use certifications as required.
- Skills: strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities.
