Supervisor

The Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the hair hub, ensuring excellent customer service, high-quality service delivery, staff productivity, proper inventory management, and achievement of revenue targets. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and organizational skills, a good understanding of salon/hair business operations, and the ability to manage both customers and staff effectively.
Daily Operations: Supervise the day-to-day activities of the hair hub and ensure smooth operations. Ensure the hub opens and closes according to approved operating hours. Allocate duties and responsibilities to Hair Stylists and other team members. Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and compliance with company policies. Ensure the hub is clean, organized, and maintained to the required standard at all times. Ensure all services are delivered professionally and within agreed timelines. Identify operational challenges and escalate issues appropriately.
Staff Supervision: Supervise, motivate, and coordinate Hair Stylists and other hub staff. Monitor individual and team performance against agreed targets. Provide coaching and on-the-job guidance to team members. Identify training and development needs and recommend appropriate interventions. Manage staff schedules, shifts, breaks, and client appointments. Address minor staff issues and escalate disciplinary matters to HR/Management where necessary. Foster a professional, respectful, and customer-focused work environment.
Customer Experience: Ensure clients receive excellent and consistent customer service. Monitor client appointments, walk-ins, and service turnaround time. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and promptly. Obtain customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery. Build strong relationships with regular customers and encourage customer retention. Ensure customers are properly informed about available services, pricing, promotions, and products.
Sales & Revenue Management: Drive achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly revenue targets. Monitor sales performance by service and staff member. Identify opportunities to increase revenue through additional services, product sales, and customer retention. Ensure all services rendered are properly recorded and paid for. Monitor daily sales and submit accurate revenue reports to management. Ensure proper handling and accountability of cash and electronic payments. Identify revenue leakages and immediately report suspected irregularities.
Inventory & Equipment Management: Monitor stock levels of hair products, styling materials, consumables, and other supplies. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks. Ensure products and materials are used appropriately and minimize wastage. Report low stock, damaged items, or unusual variances to management. Ensure salon equipment and tools are properly maintained and safely used. Coordinate repairs or replacement of faulty equipment when required.
Quality & Hygiene Control: Ensure all stylists maintain professional hygiene and sanitation standards. Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and disinfected appropriately. Conduct regular checks of the workstations, customer areas, wash areas, and other facilities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene requirements. Monitor the quality of hairstyles and services delivered to customers.
Reporting & Administration: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Track revenue, customer traffic, staff performance, inventory usage, and other relevant KPIs. Maintain accurate records of appointments, services rendered, complaints, stock, and sales. Provide management with regular updates on the performance and challenges of the hub. Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, promotions, and initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Management, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in salon management, beauty/hair business operations, hospitality, retail, or a similar supervisory role. Previous experience supervising a team is required. Knowledge of hair salon operations and hair services is an added advantage. Strong customer service and people-management skills. Good understanding of sales, inventory, and basic financial management. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and familiarity with POS or salon management systems is an advantage.

Other Requirements:
- Relevant experience in salon, beauty, retail, hospitality, or business operations is an added advantage. The role requires regular interaction with customers and staff and may involve prolonged periods of standing and active supervision of the hub. The Supervisor may be required to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours depending on business requirements.
