About the Role Aecon Engineering Services Inc. (United) seeks a Supervising Structural Engineer to lead the structural discipline on power generation and heavy industrial projects across the United States. The role combines technical leadership, project oversight, and hands-on design to deliver safe, code-compliant structures from concept through construction. What You'll Do
- Function as the structural discipline lead on power and heavy industrial projects.
- Manage the structural engineering and design team, ensuring adherence to scope, cost, and schedule.
- Serve as the engineer of record; sign and seal structural drawings developed under your supervision with a PE license.
- Develop structural calculations, foundations, and structural steel designs for a range of projects from conceptual design through construction, including supporting site work.
- Coordinate an interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete tasks on time and within budget.
- Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project development.
- Develop material and work-hour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Civil (Structural) Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of steel and concrete foundations and structures for conventional generation (fossil-fueled) and/or nuclear power plants.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership position.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state within the US. Nice to Have
