Job title: Superintendent Production
About the Role Lead and manage operations of a liquid CO2 production plant in Delaware City. Oversee three production technicians and ensure safe, reliable plant performance while coordinating maintenance and process improvements.
What You'll Do
- Manage and operate the liquid CO2 plant including tanks, controls, and truck fill systems to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Monitor process performance, adjust parameters, and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures; oversee contractors as needed; prepare projects to improve facility availability and reliability.
- Coordinate planned maintenance; support production and liquid supply through office and field work.
- Lead and support three production technicians; respond to unplanned events; make technical decisions with the Director of Operations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with 3-5 years of experience or 5-10 years of relevant plant operations experience with demonstrated management capability.
- Strong knowledge of CO2 process plant or similar complex process control systems, industrial instrumentation, and maintenance of compressors and related equipment.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems; familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems, ventilation, and air conditioning; ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and aerial work platforms.
- Ability to read and revise P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, process control systems, and maintenance/compliance documentation.
- Strong communication skills; dependable, safety-focused, and self-directed; able to plan work, manage projects, and maintain high standards of quality.
Nice to Have
- Prior leadership/people-management experience.
- Experience with lockout/tagout procedures and industrial gas operations.
- Experience with CO2/liquid gas facilities and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Proficiency with SCADA or other process control software.
