About the Role The Planet Group is seeking a Superintendent I to join our Data Center Structured Cabling Group on large-scale utility, energy storage, and data center projects. This travel-heavy role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and coordination of cross-functional teams, from assistants to contractors. What You'll Do
- Plan and implement materials, equipment, and inspections to support the project schedule.
- Coordinate with project staff, assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft workers across locations.
- Provide planning, supervision, and coordination within your discipline and ensure timely project delivery.
- Maintain a strong safety culture, exceptional communication, and a high level of customer focus.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects across travel locations with organization and efficiency. What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years of trade experience.
- Minimum eight years of construction experience with at least two years in supervisory roles.
- Experience with large utility projects; Utilities and Energy Storage industry knowledge preferred.
- Inverter and DC battery technology experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects; detail-oriented; strong organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of construction law; intermediate Microsoft Office skills; positive and professional demeanor and strong customer service. Nice to Have
- Utilities and Energy Storage industry experience.
- Inverter/DC battery technology expertise.
- Experience with data center infrastructure or structured cabling is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $111,000 - $168,000 yearly (plus bonuses).
- Benefits: Per Diem every 2 weeks, Project Completion Bonuses, Annual Bonuses, Incentive Pay, PTO, Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, Generous 401K match.
- Travel: 100% travel with rotation Monday-Friday (3 weeks on, 1 week remote/home).
