ADM (Archer Daniels Midland), a global leader in human and animal nutrition and the world's premier agricultural origination and processing company, is hiring a Superintendent for its grain elevator facility in Hooker, Oklahoma. This is an exempt-level, full-time on-site role with a pay range of $72,900 - $131,800 plus annual bonus.
The Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day activities of the grain elevator, including loading/unloading, sampling, grading, transferring, blending and storage of grain, while maintaining a safe, sanitary workplace compliant with company policy and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT). The role trains and leads hourly employees in operations, safety, and food safety, and establishes preventative maintenance, sanitation and operation schedules.
- Ensure personnel safety through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations
- Adhere to and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and FSMA requirements
- Oversee daily plant operations including safety, environmental compliance, food safety, quality control, production, cost optimization and efficiency
- Develop and train hourly labor, addressing employee concerns and maintaining morale
- Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds
- Lead and analyze preventive maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs to minimize downtime
Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred, or High School Diploma/GED with years of on-the-job training; technical certification; 2-3 years' experience developing a team; strong troubleshooting and mechanical/leadership skills; computer proficiency (MS Office, email); excellent verbal and written communication. Physical requirements include lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, prolonged standing, climbing stairs/ladders, and working indoors and outdoors year-round.
