About the Role We are seeking a Summer Camp Teacher to join East Gate Kids in Albuquerque, NM for a seasonal role. You will lead and supervise engaging activities for school-age children, foster safety, and mentor kids to build confidence and teamwork. This position is part of a dynamic, energetic summer program and offers growth opportunities within East Gate Kids. What You'll Do
- Lead structured games, themed activities, outdoor play, and enrichment projects
- Help implement weekly camp themes and group challenges
- Supervise transitions, meals, outings, and quiet times while maintaining strong safety standards
- Model positive communication and professional interaction with parents during drop-off and pickup
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintaining organized spaces
- Support life-skills activities (teamwork, responsibility, leadership)
- Additional: Drive center vans for field trips (non-CDL) as needed What We're Looking For
- Required: High School Diploma or GED; CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain); experience working with children; ability to lift up to 30 lbs; valid driver's license for driving roles; pass all state background checks
- Preferred: Previous summer camp leadership experience; experience leading older elementary or pre-teen groups; interest in education, youth development, recreation, or leadership Nice to Have
