About the Role Squire Patton Boggs is seeking exceptional second-year law students to join our 2027 Summer Associate Program. The program provides mentorship and exposure to complex matters across a wide range of practice areas and industries, with opportunities to develop legal writing skills and professional networks. As a summer associate, you will work on complex, high-level transactions, disputes, and policy matters, supported by partners and associates. What You'll Do

- Receive invaluable mentorship from partners and associates.
- Access workshops, seminars on legal writing, pro bono opportunities, and other professional development resources. What We're Looking For
- Rising 2L student at an ABA-approved law school.
- Demonstrated record of exceptional academic achievement, with preference given to candidates in the top 25% of their class.
- Work experience prior to law school is highly valued.
- Personal drive, legal expertise, adaptability, discretion, and the ability to tackle challenges with thoughtfulness and creativity, with a commitment to client service.
- Excellent communication skills, legal research and writing skills.
- Proven leadership ability, a strong commitment to team success and integrity, and sound judgment.
- Foreign language skills and multicultural experience prior to law school are a plus.

- Salary: $8,541.66 semi-monthly for Cleveland summer associates.
