About the Role Join Choate's next generation of exceptional lawyers as a Summer Associate in the firm's corporate practice. The program provides early responsibility, intensive training from day one, and opportunities to do substantive work with the goal of earning a full-time offer after graduation. Summer associates gain exposure to a wide range of practice areas through a distinctive mentor-led structure. What You'll Do
- Contribute to diligence, disclosure schedules, and other matters depending on capabilities.
- Work on case and deal teams, performing legal and factual research, memo writing, researching and contributing to briefs, drafting pleadings, and drafting estate planning documents; participate in investigations, discovery, and diligence projects.
- Gain exposure to multiple practices, take on assignments similar to those given to first-year associates, and work across departments to get a full picture of life at a major law firm.
- Engage in community and pro bono work as part of Choate’s core mission.
- Build relationships with three mentors (partner, mid-level, and junior associate) who will guide your development throughout the summer. What We're Looking For
