About the Role Squire Patton Boggs is seeking exceptional second-year law students to join our 2027 Summer Associate Program. The program offers mentorship from partners and associates, exposure to complex, high-level transactions, disputes, and policy matters across a wide range of practice areas and industries, and access to workshops on legal writing and pro bono opportunities. What You'll Do
- Work on complex, high-level transactions, disputes, and policy matters across a wide range of practice areas and industries.
- Receive invaluable mentorship from partners and associates throughout the program.
- Participate in workshops, seminars on legal writing, and pro bono opportunities; take advantage of resources designed to help you grow as a lawyer.
What We're Looking For
- Rising 2L student at an ABA-approved law school.
- Demonstrated record of exceptional academic achievement, with preference given to candidates in the top 25% of their class.
- Work experience prior to law school is highly valued.
- Key qualities: adaptability, genuine interest in our firm, discretion, and the ability to tackle challenges with thoughtfulness and creativity.
- Commitment to client service and strong legal research and writing skills; excellent communication; leadership and integrity; sound judgment.
Nice to Have
- Foreign language skills and multicultural experience prior to law school.
- Geographical ties.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary for summer associates in Cleveland is $8,541.66 semi-monthly (approximately $17,083.32 per month, about $205,000 per year if extrapolated monthly).
