Job title: Substitute Teachers
About the Role Substitute Teachers provide consistent coverage for students, faculty and staff in the South Orange - Maplewood School District. This onsite role supports instructional continuity when regular teachers are absent, with duties across core subjects and Special Education as needed.
What You'll Do
- Provide consistent substitute coverage to students, faculty and staff.
- Manage classrooms and deliver instruction in assigned subjects.
- Maintain classroom order and support school policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certificate or NJ Instructional Certification.
- Completion of 30 semester-hour credits at an accredited college or university.
- Criminal history clearance and proof of US citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Teaching experience in English, Math, Science and/or Special Education.
