About this role
Job Summary
Plan, lay-out, install, test, repair, or maintain high voltage substation wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts, equipment and control systems in generating stations, substations, and inservice relays in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Use appropriate hand (ie drill, screwdriver) and power tools (ie pipe threader, conduit bender) to properly measure, cut, assemble and install electrical conduits, cable and duct banks. Hand dig ditches and holes. Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit-breaker panels and install grounding leads and pull wire through conduit. Work with high and low voltage systems.
