About this role
About the Role ConcordTV invites Concord residents to become producers and submit or air their own shows. The program provides training, equipment, and production support, with classes offered free to Concord residents.
This opportunity focuses on creating content, getting it produced, and delivered to ConcordTV channels.
What You'll Do
- Complete training and certification on ConcordTV equipment (editing, camera, studio production, audio, lighting, and more).
- Reserve equipment and schedule production around your needs; you can access cameras and wireless microphone kits as required.
- Create or submit video content to be played on ConcordTV channels, or leverage the Producer Support Program for high-quality shows.
- For submissions, export video in broadcast-friendly formats (mp4, 30 fps, 1080p preferred) and include Program Name, Episode Name (if series), Start Air Date (optional), End Air Date (optional).
- Deliver content via fast methods: upload through Google Drive or Dropbox; NHCCM File Sharing Server (if you are a member); or USB drive drop-off/mail (we will hold the drive until you pick it up; use a small 4GB–8GB drive recommended for mailing). DVD drop-off is supported but not recommended due to aging technology.
- Ensure proper file naming for faster turnaround.
- If you’re new, attend ConcordTV orientation; to be a producer, you or your organization must be based in Concord or have a Concord sponsor attend orientation.
- If you’re an existing producer, follow export guidelines and avoid non-standard formats to prevent delays; you may also use the NHCCM file server if applicable.
- Bulletin-board submissions are also welcome: short videos (no longer than 2 minutes) or image slides.
What We're Looking For
- Based in Concord, NH or a Concord resident with a sponsor (sponsor must attend orientation) to allow content creation or airing on ConcordTV.
- Interest in creating content and willingness to participate in training and equipment use.
- Ability to submit content in broadcast-friendly formats and follow naming and air-date guidelines.
- Comfort with digital file transfer (Google Drive/Dropbox) or NHCCM File Sharing Server; willingness to mail or drop off physical media if required.
- Good communication and ability to coordinate content for broadcasting.
Nice to Have
- Prior video production experience or familiarity with broadcasting processes.
- Familiarity with NHCCM services and file-sharing workflows.
- Access to or familiarity with camera/audio equipment and basic editing know-how.
Compensation & Benefits
- Training and classes are free for Concord residents; equipment and production resources are available after training.
- The Producer Support Program offers hands-on help to produce high-quality shows; you can reserve time-slots on scheduled producer days.
- Flexible options for delivering content (digital file uploads, NHCCM server, USB drives, or DVD drop-offs) with guidance to ensure timely broadcasts.
- Opportunity to have your content aired on ConcordTV channels within the local Concord community.
