The Opportunity

Our client is a leading Australian bioanalytical organisation supporting global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies across preclinical and clinical drug development programs. With a strong reputation for scientific excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovation, they are experiencing continued growth and are seeking an experienced Study Director 80 Immunoassay to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bioanalytical scientist who enjoys client interaction, scientific leadership, study management, and mentoring colleagues within a highly regulated environment.

About the Role

As a Study Director, you will take ownership of immunoassay validation and sample analysis studies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the highest scientific standards, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with clients, laboratory teams, quality stakeholders, and leadership while providing technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Study Director or Principal Investigator for regulated bioanalytical studies.

• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously from initiation through to completion.

• Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring commitments are met.

• Serve as a key scientific contact for clients and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with laboratory operations, quality, and research teams to drive study progression.

• Oversee study compliance and scientific integrity.

• Troubleshoot technical and scientific issues as they arise.

• Mentor, train, and support junior scientific staff.

• Contribute to process improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives.

• Support business objectives through effective project and stakeholder management.

• About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline.

• Significant experience within a regulated bioanalytical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environment.

• Previous experience managing studies and client-facing projects.

• Strong knowledge of immunoassay methodologies and regulated laboratory practices.

• Excellent scientific problem-solving and data interpretation skills.

• Experience working with LIMS systems.

• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
