Job title: Student Worker - Strategy

Join the LEGO Foundation and gain practical experience with strategy development and decision-making in an international, purpose-driven organisation.

Turning complex questions into clear answers

As Student Worker in Strategy, you will do the research, analysis and drafting behind good decisions. Working closely with our Senior Strategy Manager, you will contribute to key strategic projects and preparations for Board and Leadership Team meetings. You will strengthen your analytical and strategic skills, gain first-hand insight into how strategy is shaped and brought to life, and contribute to our ambition of creating better outcomes for children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and analysing topics that inform our strategy, e.g. benchmarking other foundations and mapping experts in education and child development
  • Helping prepare Board and Leadership Team meetings by drafting slides and pre-reads, gathering input from teams and checking quality
  • Supporting priority projects with analysis, workplans, workshop preparation and follow-up
  • Tracking progress on our strategic priorities and targets, and flagging where action is needed
  • Providing data and analysis for our portfolio process, which helps us decide what to scale, adjust or stop
  • Using AI to automate tasks and make processes smarter wherever possible, to improve how we work

Build your consulting toolbox This role is built for learning. You will practise the core tools of strategy consulting on real work, with regular feedback from the Senior Strategy Manager.

  • Problem solving: breaking big questions into manageable parts and working from hypotheses
  • Analysis: turning data and research into insights and recommendations
  • Communication: building a clear storyline and writing slides with a sharp “so what”
  • Project management: planning the work, keeping deadlines and coordinating input from several teams
  • Workshops: preparing agendas and materials, and capturing decisions and next steps

Structured, curious and driven by impact We are looking for a student with a structured mindset and a genuine curiosity about how strategy is made and delivered. You want to build the skills to do it well and you are motivated by improving outcomes for children.

You are currently enrolled in a relevant degree (e.g. business administration, economics, social sciences or similar) with at least 1.5 years remaining of your studies.

Furthermore, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working
  • Clear, simple writing – you can turn complex material into a short, sharp message
  • Good skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  • A proactive and solution oriented – you take the initiative and find ways to get things done
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of your tasks and handle confidential information with care
  • Fluency in English and Danish, written and spoken

You will be based at our Billund office, with access to a shuttle bus service connecting Aarhus and Vejle to support flexible commuting. The position is approximately 10–20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your studies.
