Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):

  • STUDENT WORKER PROGRAM ASSISTANT PHD PSYCHOLOGY

Duties and Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development and implementation of PhD Program activities and initiatives, including:
  • PhD Program Admissions
  • PhD Program Accreditation
  • PhD Program Research Coordination
  • PhD Program Administration
  • PhD Program PEC (Psychology

Experience

  • Credits)

  • Assist in development and implementation of program surveys.

  • Assist in coordination and organization of PhD admissions.

  • Assist in creation of multiple databases related to APA accreditation.

  • Assist faculty and program leadership in multiple administrative aspects of the APA self-study.

  • Assist faculty and doctoral students in research activities and initiatives, including extramural funding proposals.

  • Assist faculty and administrators in maintaining extensive program databases

Education

Requirements

  • LIU student enrolled in an active degree program

  • Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: MA degree in clinical psychology or equivalent; ideal candidate is enrolled in doctoral study in clinical psychology

  • Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR

  • Period of employment: Begin Date: 9/2026 End Date: 5/2027

  • Evaluation procedures and schedules: HOURS PER WEEK: variable; WEEKS PER ACADEMIC YEAR: 40, 6 positions
