Job title: Student Peer Assistant
About the Role
Student Peer Assistant supports the Office of Financial Assistance with basic customer service and clerical tasks. This on-campus role provides phone support, front-desk assistance, and answers to general financial aid questions for students and families.
What You'll Do
- Provide phone coverage and return calls to students and parents
- Retrieve voicemail messages and relay information as needed
- Greet visitors to the office and assist with general financial aid inquiries
- Help maintain orderly office operations and confidentiality
What We're Looking For
- Federal Work-Study eligibility is required; only eligible Work-Study students may apply
- Professional attire and reliable punctuality for shift schedule
- Ability to arrive on time and arrange for a replacement from peers if unable to work a shift
- Availability to work between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a total of about 10 hours per week
- Discreet confidentiality is a must
Nice to Have
- Ability to work during fall, winter and spring breaks preferred but not required
- Availability for Admitted Prospective Student Candidate Day
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage Rate: $10.00 per hour
