Job title: Student Labor Supervisor
About the Role The Student Labor Supervisor supports Berea College's Great Commitments by overseeing the college’s student labor program. This role involves collaborating with staff and faculty who supervise student workers to schedule, assign, and approve work, and to help students develop workplace skills and gain tangible work experience through the Labor Program.
What You'll Do
- Schedule, assign, and approve student work in coordination with the Labor Program Office
- Develop students' workplace acumen and provide hands-on work experience
- Support the labor program to honor The Dignity of Labor and its commitment to learning through work
- Collaborate with staff, faculty, and supervisors across departments to ensure safe and productive work experiences
- Contribute to a culture that values impartial love and inclusive service as part of Berea's Great Commitments
What We're Looking For
- Interest or experience in supervising student workers and coordinating campus labor programs
- Ability to schedule and assign work and provide constructive feedback
- Commitment to Berea College's Great Commitments and the dignity of labor
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, faculty, and student workers
