Job title: Student Equipment Manager

About the Role The Student Equipment Manager is a part-time on-campus role within Villanova's athletic equipment operations. You will assist with daily operations of the equipment room, including receiving and organizing inventory, managing laundry, distributing gear, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace, while supporting student-athletes, coaches, and staff with equipment needs and helping prepare for practices, competitions, and team travel. This role is for the 2026–27 academic year; shifts are chosen by you (9-20 hours per week) with at least one weekend shift required and a rotating schedule for Friday/Saturday evenings. There are 15 positions.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with daily operations of the athletic equipment room, including receiving and organizing inventory, managing laundry, distributing gear, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Support student-athletes, coaches, and staff with equipment needs and help prepare for practices, competitions, and team travel.
  • Manage shifts: choose at least 3 shifts (9 hours weekly) with a requirement to work at least one weekend shift; Weekday Shifts: 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm, 6pm-9pm; Weekend Shifts: 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm, 6pm-9pm; Rotating Friday/Saturday 6pm-9pm shifts.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull and move boxes/equipment (up to ~50 lbs); willingness to perform physical tasks (laundry, stocking, cleaning).
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Respect for equipment policies, confidentiality, and team spaces.
  • Must be enrolled in Villanova classes for the 2026–27 academic year.
  • Number of positions: 15.
