About this role
Summary of Duties The Grounds Maintenance Student Employee supports the upkeep, appearance, and safety of campus grounds through a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks. Working under the direction of Grounds Superintendent or designee, the student will perform duties such as mowing, trimming, mulching, weeding, planting flowers and shrubs, and operating landscape equipment.
- Students will receive hands-on training in groundskeeping practices and basic equipment maintenance, providing valuable experience in landscape maintenance and equipment operation. Previous experience operating lawn care equipment (such as push mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and hand blowers) and knowledge of plant identification, weed recognition, or equipment repair are beneficial but not required.
