About the Role
LIU Browse is LIU’s on-campus authorized technology store offering discounted tablets, laptops, desktops, gaming consoles, and accessories to students, faculty, and staff with a valid LIU ID. As a student associate you will help with the daily operations of the store and gain hands-on experience in retail and tech support.
What You'll Do
- Assist with daily store operations at Browse and support certified Help Desk technicians.
- Develop skills in retail, customer service, business management, marketing, e-commerce, and tech support.
- Provide Help Desk support to students, including assistance with MyLIU accounts and password setup.
What We're Looking For
- LIU student enrolled in an active degree program.
- Eligible for Federal Work Study.
- Interest in technology, customer service, and learning new skills.
Nice to Have
- Interest in tech devices or prior experience in retail or tech support is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $17 per hour.
- Period of employment: Begin Date 09/2026, End Date 05/2027.
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Federal Work Study eligible.
- This is a part-time, on-site work-study position.
