Student Associate - IMPACT Program

About the Role At the IDD Education Center, our student associates support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with their academic, independent living, employment, and health and wellness goals. Our Center is currently hiring for student associate positions in the IMPACT program. IMPACT Innovation offers adults with autism and/or significant behavioral, communication, and sensory support needs a year-round program that includes lifelong learning, healthy living, and vocational exploration through an inclusive experience on the UC campus. Student workers directly support adults in our program in meeting their individualized goals. Some of these activities include: internships, communication, recreation, and community outings. What You'll Do

• Support adults in meeting individualized goals across academic, independent living, employment, and health/wellness areas.
• Facilitate internships, communication, recreation, and community outings as part of the IMPACT program.
• Collaborate with program staff to provide inclusive experiences on the UC campus. What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school, at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), except for summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Enrollment shall include the period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled, and the one off term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.
• UC is an E-Verify employer. If hired into this position, you will be required to provide satisfactory proof of employment eligibility by providing acceptable, original forms of identification for employment verification via the Federal I-9 employment verification process.
