About the Role The Student Assistant will support research activities in the Department of Urban Global Public Health at Rutgers SPH in Newark, NJ. Working under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Community Engagement, Population Health, and Public Health Service, the role involves assisting with research projects addressing mechanisms relevant to public health initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Support research activities under supervision of the Associate Dean for Community Engagement, Population Health, and Public Health Service.
- Assist with literature searches, data collection, organization, and preparation of materials for research projects under supervision.
- Help coordinate administrative tasks and communications related to department research efforts.
What We're Looking For
- Current enrollment in a college/university program (public health, social sciences, or a related field).
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools and a willingness to learn new software.
Nice to Have
- Previous research assistant experience or relevant coursework in public health, urban/global health, or sexual and reproductive health.
