About the Role Horrocks is seeking a Structures Engineer to join our progressive, employee-focused, regional multidisciplinary engineering firm. You will design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects, and prepare construction documents and PS&E for local and federal agencies.
What You'll Do
- Design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects
- Prepare designs, structural calculations, cost estimates, and specifications
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver PS&E documents on time and within project budget
- Perform structural analysis using Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD and other Bentley tools
- Design and analyze concrete vaults, culverts, storage tanks, and booster station structures
- Design and analyze foundations, abutments, retaining walls, and other components
- Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction
- Lead structures efforts for smaller projects, coordinating staff and design efforts
What We're Looking For
- B.S. in Civil Engineering; 7–10 years design experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain within one year
- Experience with vertical structure projects and DOT projects
- Familiarity with Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD and Bentley software
- Willingness to work on local projects or in workshare with other offices; some travel (
