Job title: Structured Finance - Equipment Financing (North America)
About the Role Johnson Controls' JC Capital seeks a structured finance professional to manage the origination, structuring, and execution of equipment financing and structured lending transactions for our North American customers. You will oversee the end-to-end deal lifecycle, align with corporate policies and risk appetite, and support growth in an evolving portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Origination & Deal Execution: Support the North American deal pipeline by partnering with Business Unit sales teams, participating in pipeline calls, and identifying financing opportunities for JCI equipment and service contracts.
- Structure and negotiate equipment leases, loans, and other financing arrangements tailored to customer needs and JCI's balance sheet objectives.
- Prepare and review credit memoranda, data tapes, term sheets, and deal documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel on contract drafting, security/collateral packages, and closing mechanics.
- Portfolio & Operations Management: Support the operational execution of booked transactions, including servicing, billing, collections, and amendments.
- Manage relationships with key counterparties (e.g., co-lenders, banks, customers) and serve as the primary point of contact for North American structured finance matters.
- Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and credit quality; escalate issues as appropriate.
- Support the Odessa lease management platform, including change request reviews, process improvements and system upgrades.
- Strategy & Reporting: Contribute to JC Capital's growth & strategic direction, including new product development, pricing strategy, market expansion initiatives and internal training.
- Prepare weekly operational updates, deal review materials, and management reporting.
- Support periodic loan sales and receivables monetization.
