Structural Designer – Junior / Intermediate / Senior
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Job Purpose
- To prepare and develop structural drawings and design documentation for oil and gas, industrial, offshore and onshore projects.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare structural drawings and details from engineering design information.

Develop structural layouts, plans, elevations, sections and fabrication drawings.

Interpret structural engineering calculations, specifications and design information.

Prepare steelwork, platforms, supports, structures and related details.

Develop structural drawings using appropriate CAD/3D design software.

Incorporate design changes and engineering comments into drawings.
-
Coordinate structural designs with piping, mechanical, civil and other disciplines.

Participate in site surveys and field verification where required.

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and applicable codes and standards.

Maintain drawing revisions and design documentation.

Support preparation of material take-offs and structural schedules.

Typical Requirements
Junior:
- OND / HND / B.Sc./B.Tech. in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of structural drawings and CAD.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Intermediate:
- Relevant structural design experience.
- Experience preparing structural layouts and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or relevant structural design software.
Senior:
- Extensive structural design experience in oil & gas, offshore, industrial or construction projects.
- Ability to independently produce and review structural design deliverables.
- Experience coordinating structural design with other engineering disciplines.
