Strong Middle Golang Developer

Role overview

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Strong Middle Golang Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a global technology company specializing in self-service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs) and APIs using Golang to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services that support frontend applications and business requirements. This project is scheduled to run at least until June 2027.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development. 2+ years of experience with Golang. Proven experience developing backend services and APIs using Golang. Strong understanding of API design principles, authentication, and authorization. Understanding of unit testing, code reviews, and troubleshooting production environments. Familiarity with Backend-for-Frontends (BFF) architecture. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of AI tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies. Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues affecting performance and reliability.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with modern development tools and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of security best practices in API development. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Exposure to cloud platforms and microservices architecture. Experience with MongoDB (data modeling, indexing, replication, and performance tuning). Familiarity with NATS or other message brokers for pub/sub and event-driven architectures. Experience with relational databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs) and APIs using Golang. Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, QA engineers, product owners, and backend teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Perform unit testing, code reviews, and troubleshooting for production issues. Ensure API design follows best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Stay current with updates in the Golang ecosystem and development methodologies. Participate in continuous process improvements and enforce software engineering standards. Report to Manager, Software Development. Participate in daily interactions with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, product owners, and other backend developers. Measure of Performance: Successful delivery of scalable and secure backend services within project timelines. High-quality, maintainable code that meets business and technical requirements. Effective collaboration across teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment. Timely resolution of production issues and minimal downtime.
