About this role

Job title: Strike up a friendship that’s a real winner! Community Social Volunteering

Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team!

We’re seeking a warm, reliable social volunteer to spend one hour each week with a delightful female centenarian who loves good company and a good game.

She may have reached 100, but her enthusiasm for sport is still going strong! In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, hockey, soccer, and tennis, and today she still loves watching sports of all kinds.

Your visits could include chatting about matches, sharing stories, watching a game together, or simply offering companionship that brightens her week.

If you're keen to support someone in your community — or would like to volunteer with HammondCare in a different way — we’d love to hear from you.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
