About this role
About the Role Aernnova is strengthening its team of STRESS ENGINEERS to support the design and certification of aerostructures across multiple sites (Madrid, Vitoria, Derio, San José dos Campos, Brazil, and the United States). The role focuses on performing structural stress analyses and generating state-of-the-art finite element models to ensure design integrity and performance.
What You'll Do
- Perform structural strength analysis (tension, compression, bending, etc.) and stability analyses (buckling, crippling)
- Analyze joints, fittings, and structures under various load cases, including plastic regime and buckled structures
- Conduct thermal and dynamic analyses and fatigue/damage tolerance assessments
- Analyze composite materials and provide proposals for weight saving and performance improvements
- Build and exploit complex finite element models using Hyperworks, Nastran, ABAQUS; contribute to project proposals and technical documentation for all project phases (preliminary, detailed, certification, tests, analysis of results)
- Generate technical documentation and support for cert reports and test proposals
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience as an aeronautical structure stress engineer
- Demonstrable team and project management skills; ability to defend technical positions in meetings with clients
- Programming experience (Python, etc.) valued
- Experience with Airbus/Boeing tools and projects; previous signature delegations by Airbus or Boeing valued
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and ability to develop technical documentation
- Willingness to travel abroad as needed
