About this role

About the Role The Marex Solutions Strategy Team in London is seeking an Analyst at the intersection of markets, technology, and product innovation. You will help build tools, dashboards, data connections, and AI-enabled market intelligence systems for the Strategy and Trading desks, and help produce thematic trade ideas across asset classes. What You'll Do

  • Internal Tooling & Desk Infrastructure: Build and maintain internal tools for the strategy team, traders, structurers, sales, and COO-related teams to operate more efficiently.
  • Data Plumbing, Pricing Inputs & Connectivity: Connect data sources, prices, market feeds, files, and APIs into clean workflows; support backend reliability of dashboards and tools.
  • Dashboards, Visual Analytics & Market Monitoring: Design dashboards and market monitors across equity themes, macro themes, commodities, rates, volatility, positioning, flows, and other market topics.
  • Automation & Workflow Improvement: Identify manual processes and automate with scripts, templates, pipelines, APIs, or lightweight applications.
  • AI & Modern Technology Tooling: Use AI tools, LLMs, agents, and modern data techniques to enhance research, monitoring, productivity, idea generation, and information retrieval.
  • Thematic Market Projects: Support market-driven projects (equity trade idea dashboards, thematic investment screens, weather/El Nino analysis, commodity dashboards, cross-asset monitors).
  • Collaboration with Front Office Teams: Work closely with traders, structurers, sales, strategy, and operations to understand desk needs and translate into usable tools.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Bring new ideas, test and prototype iteratively, and implement pragmatically. What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline; analytical ability, problem-solving, and technical curiosity. Fields may include finance, economics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, data science, design, or similar.
  • Programming, Data & Automation: Coding ability (Python or similar), experience building scripts, dashboards, data workflows, and automation; familiarity with APIs, databases, data ingestion and cleaning.
  • AI & Modern Tooling: Strong fluency with modern AI tools (LLMs, AI-assisted workflows); interest in applying AI to research, monitoring, text analysis, market intelligence, document processing, and internal productivity. Hands-on with AI agents, embeddings, NLP helpful but not required.
  • Dashboards & Visual Analytics: Experience or interest building dashboards with Plotly, Dash, Streamlit, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar; strong visual judgement and usability.
  • Markets & Product Awareness: Interest in financial markets across asset classes (equities, rates, commodities, credit, FX, crypto, volatility); awareness of derivatives or structured products is helpful but not required.
  • Experience & Communication: Suitable for an analyst level; experience from internships, academic projects, personal projects, coding, finance roles, research, data analysis, or software development; able to work independently and in a collaborative desk environment; London-based or willing to relocate.
