Job title: Strategic Account Executive – Agentic Technology Specialist
About the Role SailPoint is seeking a highly motivated Strategic Account Executive – Agentic Technology Specialist in Germany to focus on selling Agentic technology solutions (Machine Identity Security, Data Access Security, and Agent Identity Security) into large, complex strategic accounts. The role requires deep cross-functional collaboration with IT, cybersecurity, and data teams, and a consultative selling approach across multiple personas.
What You'll Do
- Exceed revenue quota goals on a quarterly and yearly basis.
- Lead the appropriate technical resources to demonstrate SailPoint's advantages to customers, and manage the full sales cycle: qualification, presentations, demonstrations, and RFP responses.
- Strategically engage with customers and partners to maintain a high level of customer service that aligns with SailPoint’s core values.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute plans targeting the Identity Intelligence market.
- Pursue all leads supplied and ensure internal systems are updated.
- Build territory and opportunity plans; develop comprehensive strategic account plans with Account Executives to progress from discovery to close.
- Develop internal programs to scale the larger sales organization around the Agentic product set; enablement for the broader sales team.
- Manage discussions across all levels—from business stakeholders to technical decision-makers (IT, cybersecurity, AI, data, and enterprise architecture).
- Provide a superior customer experience and competitively position SailPoint's Agentic Technology solutions, comparing to competitive offerings.
- Forecast and report using reporting tools and maintain internal systems hygiene.
- After sale: follow up with customers and partner with the post-sale team to ensure ongoing coverage and new opportunities.
- Foster a deep understanding of the territory, including customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and competitors within the Identity Intelligence landscape.
- Understand and communicate product and technology strategies used by competitors and complementary organizations in the SailPoint market space.
- Develop and deliver internal training and enablement programs to equip primary Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and internal Business Development teams with knowledge to pursue Identity Intelligence opportunities.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop comprehensive strategic account plans that incorporate Agentic Technology solutions.
- Build internal programs to foster collaboration between the Identity Intelligence Specialist team and the broader sales organization.
- Education: Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record as a specialist salesperson in a dynamic, matrixed environment (overlay, co-prime, etc.).
- Experience selling across IT stakeholders, ideally combining Identity or cybersecurity with agentic technologies and/or data architecture/governance technologies.
- Curious, able to synthesize information rapidly in a dynamic environment; a consultative seller who discovers mutual value between business needs and technology solutions.
- Ability to work across IT personas, including Cybersecurity/Identity applications and Cloud technologies (IaaS, Cloud Data Platforms).
- Strong relationship builder who can operate at all levels—from IT executives to individual contributors.
- Ability to scale and empower other account resources to deliver outcomes; proficient with analytical tools and complex data.
- Experience as a specialist sales executive (overlay, co-prime, etc.) in a team-based selling environment.
- Ability to articulate the value of SailPoint's Agentic Technology and compare against competitors and the broader SailPoint product set.
- Excellent customer experience from discovery through implementation, with competitive positioning and value selling.
- Strong territory and opportunity planning skills; able to develop internal enablement programs.
- Excellent forecasting and reporting discipline using Salesforce and other tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
