About the Role Under general supervision, uses various tools and machines to ensure castings meet customer's dimensional specifications in accordance with quality standards. Ensures that documentation, tooling and parts are correctly matched to paperwork. This role includes inspecting complex, critical castings to ensure conformance and maintaining traceability.
What You'll Do
- Perform inspections on complex, critical castings to verify conformance with customer requirements and quality standards.
- Use various tools and machines to ensure castings meet dimensional specifications and that documentation, tooling, and parts match paperwork.
- Manipulate castings by hot and cold methods to meet visual and dimensional specifications (straightening).
- Follow established housekeeping and safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work area.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with casting inspection and dimensional measurement to validate conformance with customer requirements.
- Ability to read and align documentation, tooling, and parts with paperwork.
- Familiarity with hot and cold straightening methods and the use of inspection tools and machines.
- Strong attention to quality standards and ability to work under general supervision.
