Inside Edition is seeking a Story Coordinator to work closely with producers to find and coordinate all aspects of TV news segments. This entry-level role is ideal for someone committed to consumer, investigative, entertainment, and features reporting, with strong growth potential. The position is full-time, with staffing opportunities.
Story Coordinators work closely with producers to find and coordinate all aspects of TV news segments, including securing interviews, gathering information, conducting background research utilizing public records, and conducting pre-interviews.
What You'll Do
- Work with producers to identify and coordinate TV news segments from concept to air.
- Secure interviews and gather information.
- Conduct background research utilizing public records.
- Conduct pre-interviews with interview subjects.
- Collaborate with newsroom staff and editors to shape segments.
- Travel as needed and be available to work nights/weekends.
- Utilize exemplary research, phone, and people skills in daily duties.
- What We're Looking For
- Some prior reporting experience in television or print.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Passion for local and national news.
- Proficient in technology and social media.
- Able to travel and work nights/weekends as necessary.
- B.S or B.A. degree or equivalent.
- Booking experience in television or media.
- Working knowledge of government, courts, law enforcement, and FOIA.

- Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $45,000-$55,000 annually (USD).
