Job title: Storeroom Keeper
About the Role The Storeroom Keeper will perform basic lab tasks, clean glassware, process samples, and assist with various analyses in the Mendel Science Center. This is a part-time student position with a flexible weekday schedule and opportunities for hands-on training. The role includes lifting and standing as part of the daily duties.
What You'll Do
- Perform basic lab tasks including cleaning glassware, processing samples, and assisting with various types of analysis.
- Maintain a neat and safe workspace and comply with safety protocols.
- Participate in hands-on training and pursue safety certifications where offered (DOT, OSHA, EPA).
What We're Looking For
- Attention to detail; able to follow directions.
- Science major preferred but not required; previous lab experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work 4-6 hours per week; on-site at Mendel Science Center.
- Eligible Villanova student; work-study eligibility preferred but open to all students.
Nice to Have
- Prior lab experience and familiarity with lab safety practices.
- Interest in pursuing safety-related certifications (DOT, OSHA, EPA).
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage: $11.25 per hour.
- Flexible weekday schedule; no weekend shifts.
