Mikano International Limited – Store Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming materials, spare parts, consumables, tools, and equipment against approved purchase orders, delivery notes, and specifications.

Ensure all received materials are properly recorded, labelled, coded, and stored in designated locations.

Issue materials to Production, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, and other departments based on approved requisitions.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and stock balances.

Monitor stock levels and identify minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder points, and slow-moving or obsolete items.

Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical quantities with system records.

Report discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages, excess stock, and unidentified items to the Store Manager.

Ensure proper storage and preservation of steel materials, spare parts, electrical components, mechanical components, PPE, consumables, and other warehouse items.

Maintain proper arrangement and identification of materials to ensure easy retrieval and efficient use of storage space.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports as required by Management.

Update inventory records on the company's ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management system.

Use Microsoft Excel to prepare stock reports, inventory analysis, reconciliation statements, and other store-related reports.

Maintain proper documentation of all store transactions and ensure records are readily available for audit purposes.

Monitor materials issued to various production sections and ensure proper authorization is obtained before issuance.

Coordinate with Procurement and other departments regarding pending deliveries, stock shortages, and material requirements.

Assist in monitoring stock consumption and identifying unusual or excessive material usage.

Ensure all store activities comply with company policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.

Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the store/warehouse remains clean, safe, and properly organized.

Follow all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements within the warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Support periodic stock audits and investigations into inventory variances.

Perform other store-related duties assigned by the Store Manager or Management.

Computer/IT Requirements The candidate must be computer literate and able to:

Use Microsoft Excel effectively for inventory management and reporting.

Use Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other standard office applications.
-
Operate an ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management system.
-
Enter, update, retrieve, and analyze inventory data accurately.
-
Prepare electronic stock reports and inventory reconciliations.
-
Use basic Excel functions such as SUM, COUNT, IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, sorting, and Pivot Tables.

Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems.
