Job title: Store Manager - Glasgow

About the Role We are seeking an engaging Store Manager to lead our Glasgow Buchanan Street store. You will provide leadership and direction to deliver an outstanding service and drive growth for the Dr. Martens brand in-store. This role combines commercial performance with people leadership and a commitment to inclusivity and wellbeing.

What You'll Do

  • Day-to-day retail operations (staffing, training, sales, visual merchandising, administration, banking and floor planners) to meet company expectations
  • Overall responsibility for Health & Safety and security within the store, including implementing search procedures
  • Achieving set KPIs in line with store budgets; monitoring P&L and managing controllable costs (including payroll)
  • Driving sales performance targets (Conversion, ATV & UPT)
  • Implementing and driving high standards of customer service; ensuring stock management procedures are followed (stock takes, deliveries, loss prevention, etc.)
  • Managing and developing the store team to deliver against performance targets, efficient operations and enhanced customer experience
  • Demonstrating great relationship management and teamwork; acting as custodian of DM culture and leading by example
  • Taking ownership of your development, seeking feedback, sharing best practice across the team and encouraging collaborative problem solving
  • Leading the way on DE&I & wellbeing and modelling inclusive behaviours

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for our product
  • Similar experience in a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager role, ideally within a fashion/lifestyle brand
  • Experience coaching, developing and mentoring a retail team (including addressing performance issues)
  • Sales oriented and able to drive others to achieve store goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication, numeracy & literacy skills
  • Good IT literacy – experience with Microsoft Office applications, scheduling tools, cash management & EPOS systems
  • Demonstrates resilience and the ability to think quickly to resolve emergent issues

Nice to Have

  • Similar experience in a fashion/lifestyle brand would be preferable
