Job title: Store Leadership / Store Manager (Retail Supervisor)
About the Role Dr. Martens is seeking a confident leader to guide store operations and drive exceptional customer service with a path to store management. You will lead the store team, coach staff, and help expand the Dr. Martens footprint in the Americas while upholding our values and brand standards.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional customer service by leading the sales floor and fostering team selling.
- Elevate customer service by greeting store customers, sharing brand knowledge, and understanding customer needs.
- Act as a role model to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure the team is aware of business goals and KPIs and implement strategies to attain sales goals.
- Assist in training new sales staff on job duties and product knowledge.
- Assist with daily store operations including opening/closing, balancing the register, and making bank deposits.
- Assist with inventories and merchandising to meet Brand Marketing guidelines and enhance product appeal.
- Work with the retail stock team to receive, maintain, and replenish in-store stock with efficient organization and accuracy.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year supervisory experience, preferably within footwear.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, retail/register systems, web-based programs, and inventory systems. MPOS experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic math, including ability to calculate percentages.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a broad customer base.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be approachable and polite.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to carry shoe boxes while climbing a ladder and/or stairs.
- Punctual in adherence to scheduled shift times.
