Job Title: Store / Inventory Officer
Locations: Lagos and Benin, Edo
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Working days: Monday to Friday (and Saturday in some cases)
Job Purpose The Store / Inventory Officer is responsible for safeguarding inventory accuracy, ensuring physical security, and enforcing proper usage controls across operational locations. The role exists to protect organizational assets, minimize losses, and ensure reliable inventory data to support financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Record Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the inventory management system.
- Ensure all receipts, issues, and transfers are properly documented and authorized.
- Update records promptly to reflect physical stock movements.
Stock Counts & Reconciliation:
- Participate in periodic physical stock counts, including annual, quarterly, and cycle counts.
- Support reconciliation of physical stock versus recorded balances and report variances.
- Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Loss Prevention & Wastage Control:
- Monitor inventory usage, wastage, and spoilage.
- Report losses, damages, or unusual variances promptly.
- Implement safeguards to prevent theft, pilferage, or unauthorized use.
Access & Security Control:
- Ensure inventory areas are secure and access is restricted to authorized personnel.
- Maintain logs for inventory movement and physical access.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to strengthen security and control procedures.
Support for Finance & Operations:

Provide inventory data to Entity Accountants for financial reporting and month-end close.

Assist in preparing schedules, reports, and analysis for audits or management review.

Work with procurement and operations teams to ensure smooth stock replenishment and usage tracking.

Qualifications
- Minimum of OND / HND in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Exposure to inventory management, warehouse operations, or store control is preferred.
- At least 2–4 years of operational or inventory management experience.
- Must be staying around Ikeja and Radisson Hotel Airport Road.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of inventory management processes and controls.
- Knowledge of stocktaking, reconciliation, and inventory reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems is an advantage.
- Basic Excel and reporting skills.
- Awareness of loss prevention techniques and operational compliance standards.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 / month.
