Job title: Store Associate

About the Role As a Store Associate at Aldi US in Little Canada, MN, you’ll help keep the store looking its best by merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and cleaning. You’ll enhance the customer shopping experience by collaborating with the ALDI team and delivering friendly, attentive service.

What You'll Do

• Model and uphold customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as needed.
• Inform management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Use the POS system to scan and process purchases, and report scanning concerns or errors.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures; follow the line policy and open additional check lanes as needed to ensure efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays per merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and delivering to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist management in achieving operational efficiency and loss reduction goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment by identifying hazards, ensuring ergonomics, and keeping equipment in good working order.
• Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines; perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication; basic arithmetic.
• Ability to follow instructions, pay attention to detail, and work independently or with others.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills; reliable attendance and availability.
• 18 years or older; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting wage: $19.00 per hour; wage increases in years 2-5 (Year 2: $19.50; Year 3: $20.00; Year 4: $20.00; Year 5: $21.00).
